Charlotte pops into my mind every now and then. It's just so emotional and wondrous and down to earth. I really miss Nao and her story with her brother, and the MC's younger sister and her omurice, and how Yuu got depressed and travelled the world. And Fallin' by ZHEIND will forever be one of my favorite songs that helped me through a rough patch. Miss this so much.

DOLL: IC in a Doll

Doll is my FAVORITE recent underrated sleeper. It's soo good. The premise seems simple, dolls that look, talk, and act like humans, but the stories that Mihara explores are incredibly deep and satisfying and keeps you wanting more out of this world.They're all short stories with continuity. Some of them are disgusting, horrible, tragic. But it makes sense to have some depravity in a world where you can have literal human looking robot pets. It's crazy this came out in 2000, what a visionary. Maybe next year we'll have a real DOLL (I hope not ☠️). Also her art is so BEAUTIFUL. Apparently she helped popularize the gothic lolita style. I want Alice Addict her art book so bad 😭
